Who are we?

Lady J & Linda Kay’s House, Incorporated (LJLKH) was founded in 2020 as an LLC in direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After losing their mothers “Lady J” and “Linda Kay” - co-founders Veronica Crenshaw and Mo’Nique Campbell set out to honor the caretaking, family-centered values that shaped them. What began as a passion project to fill unspoken gaps in care quickly grew into a community-driven effort. In late 2024, we transitioned to a nonprofit organization to expand our reach and deepen our mission.

LJLKH is a Black, gender-diverse women-led organization, with Co-Founder and Executive Director Mo’Nique Campbell bringing two decades of leadership in nonprofit public health and social services, advocacy, and leadership. Her expertise spans health education, chronic disease prevention (including diabetes, hypertension, and HIV), perinatal health, housing access, advancing community health equity, and developing health focused programming in underserved areas.

We are a multi-service nonprofit dedicated to addressing the intersecting challenges of housing instability, healthcare access, and social inequities faced by underserved Black women, the broader gender-diverse community, and children of color. Our work reduces health disparities and improves quality of life through safe, stable housing; chronic condition education, prevention, and treatment linkage; mental and physical healthcare; and empowerment through community enrichment, workforce development, and professional growth programs.

Our north star is simple: to provide dignified, culturally responsive care that helps people stabilize, heal, and thrive—rooted in the belief that lived experience and community leadership are essential to lasting change.
